  • Overview

    Aspen Technology is looking for a strong marketing automation and technology professional with 3-5 years marketing database systems support and administration.   Individuals should have experience with SQL (including SSIS and SSRS), data structures, MAP and CRM systems (Eloqua and Salesforce a huge plus), as well as a keen understanding of lead flow processes and segmentation.  Experience with the creation of simple ETL processes very helpful.

     

    This position will work within AspenTech’s Marketing Operations and Technology team to assist with data management, Eloqua (MAP) platform support, user segmentation, troubleshooting automation programs, providing backup email execution support, and other related technology and data tasks.  This position will also work very closely with the reporting team in the creation of data extracts and loads into various SQL tables, as well as the manipulation of data.  The position is in the Bedford, MA headquarters and reports to the Director of Marketing Operations & Technology.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide backup full-system support to our primary marketing automation administrator.
    • Create SSIS scripts to move datasets from external and internal systems.  Manage and create SSRS reporting schemas based on requirements from the reporting team.
    • Build user segments within Eloqua, in support of our marketing campaigns.
    • Troubleshoot technical problems within the marketing automation landscape, including technical processes, programs and execution issues.
    • Manage the data cleansing process, upload lists of leads from non-connected sources, and manage the lead scoring automation programs
    • Serve as the primary QA function for all outbound email campaigns.
    • Work closely with the rest of the Marketing Operations team, as well as the Sales Operations team, to implement and test new functionality.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a focus on information systems management – or another related discipline, ideally with experience with marketing data systems
    • 3-5 years of practical experience with marketing automation and technology systems.
    • Knowledge of advanced principles, practices, trends, and techniques of marketing automation systems architecture
    • Good interpersonal skills, able to translate business objectives into technical implementations
