  • Overview

    The Sr Inside Software Compliance Specialist is responsible for working directly with the global sales team to generate revenue through engaging with high quality, noncompliant audit existing customers. This person will work closely with the inside sales and field account managers across all vertical markets via the telephone to bring compliance issues to a successful resolution. This is a quota-carrying role with responsibility for an assigned territory which requires self-motivated individuals with a track record of over-achievement. A successful candidate will need to think creatively, prioritize, and can work in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Reporting to the Director of Software Compliance to perform a broad range of activities to support AspenTech’s Software Compliance Program.
    • Execute territory plan to maximize revenue
    • Consistently attain and exceed individual quota
    • Monitors the assigned sales organization’s compliance with required standards for accurately maintaining CRM data; Accurately forecasts compliance opportunities in CRM
    • Ability to handle high pressure situations and discussions to drive successful resolution to compliance issues. Highly involved in customer negotiations.
    • Critical thinking skills needed to apply AspenTech’ s licensing rules to various customers and ability to explain any non-compliant issues.
    • Engage with customers and non-customers to participate in compliance audit process to develop a pipeline of compliance opportunities.
      • Develop relationships with customers and non-customers and follow up on non-compliance issues
      • Grow existing AspenTech footprint within existing accounts that are non-compliant
    • Work cross functionally with global sales teams, legal, finance, contracts, and R&D.
    • Responsible for working with AspenTech’s third party vendor who monitors and supply’s customer compliance data to prospect for opportunities.
    • Interpret contractual terms of software license and service agreements to assess customer compliance
    • Performs audit analysis on customer data, create reports of findings and manage the resolution and closure process.
    • Identify compliance issues, based on the terms of the applicable agreement, and partner with the Sales Team to identify resolutions for any identified compliance violations
    • Responsible for regularly engaging with the Global Sales Team to develop a consistent pipeline of candidates
    • Reviews and monitors policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
    • Supports preparation for Quarterly Business Performance review reporting of key business metrics in relation to License Compliance activities and revenue generation
    • Supports the efficient distribution of compliance reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization

    Qualifications

    • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Business Objects a plus)
    • 5+ years of experience in an Operations or Inside Sales role, preferably experience with Licensing and Compliance
    • Microsoft Excel and Access expertise with experience in creating and using Pivot tables
    • Organizational skills and change management for working with large quantities of data
    • Attention to detail
    • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and to serve the diverse needs of the Global Sales Operations Team.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills are imperative.
    • Familiarity with Aspen or similar products a plus
    • Bachelor's degree Required
    • Language: Fluent in Korean and Chinese required
