  • Overview

    The Senior Manager for the Revenue Accounting Group, reporting to the Director for the Revenue Accounting Group, will manage all corporate revenue recognition accounting processes including management of the Revenue Accounting team. The Senior Manager will ensure all revenue agreements are accounted for appropriately with the applicable external revenue recognition guidance and internal company standards and policies. This would also include managing the journal entry process to account for any non-standard deals’ associated adjustments.  


    • Review bookings against revenue systems to ensure proper revenue is earned and scheduled
    • Work with cross-functional groups to better understand non-standard deals, miscellaneous performance obligations, and the related revenue impact
    • Manage the revenue accounting team
    • Review and post all revenue-related journal entries
    • Review and approve revenue and deferred revenue account reconciliations
    • Monitor month-end deliverables ensuring timely completion (including, but not limited to, Bookings Reports, Flux analytics, management reporting, etc.)
    • Assist in the external audit for revenue related activities, this includes all internal and external work for Sarbanes-Oxley
    • Document and further develop best practices related to newly-adopted ASC606 accounting and reporting 


    • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance
    • 8+ years of finance experience, preferably in the software sector
    • Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a revenue recognition role
    • Minimum of 5 years managing direct reports
    • Superior analytical and time management skills
    • Strong organizational skills and experience related to cross-functional processes
    • Attention to detail and ability to present data in a comprehensive and articulate manner 
    • Outstanding communication skills and a personal style that will facilitate open dialogue and engagement with both external and internal constituencies is a requirement.
