    We are seeking an outstanding professional with technical background and excellent communication skills to develop their business experience in marketing, especially in Petroleum Supply Chain product family, which includes Aspen PIMS, Aspen Petroleum Scheduler, and more.  This global position is responsible for the “go-to-market” activities for the Petroleum Supply Chain business and collaborates closely with globally distributed cross-functional teams.  Working with technical sales and product management plus other internal and external groups, your objective is to achieve business success as measured by growth in usage, revenue and market share.


    The right candidate will be a quick learner and able to absorb industry and product knowledge rapidly to make immediate contributions to the organization.  The must-have skills include the ability to clearly demonstrate and articulate the value of AspenTech’s solutions to a wide variety of business stakeholders (largely in the refining and chemicals industries), tune messages and marketing tactics to continuously improve campaign impact based on results.


    • Messaging – Communicate value proposition to customers, especially what differentiates your solution in the market
    • Content development – Create technical and non-technical content to explain products, such as infographics, webinars, presentations, videos, blogs, and social media programs
    • Sales enablement – Enthusiastically communicate products’ value to the sales team and develop tools that support the selling process of your products
    • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation
    • Market intelligence – learn the challenges our customers face and how AspenTech solutions solve these problems, be the expert on your buyers; be the expert on your competition and how to win against them
    • Success stories - Work with target customers to build customer case studies on a continual basis


    • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or other technical field is required
    • 2-5 years’ experience in or exposure to the process industries, such as at an operating company or service provider for the oil and gas, refining, or petrochemicals industries
    • Especially relevant experience includes operations, coordination, planning, scheduling, or supply chain
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner, especially for communicating technical concepts to non-technical language
    • Product marketing experience with technical software is preferred – but willingness to learn is most important
    • Ability to travel (including international) – approximately 15%
    • Excellent interpersonal, writing, communication and presentation skills
    • English fluency (written and verbal) required
