  • Overview

    The Project Management Analyst will be part of the Services Project Management Organization (PMO) team which will provide program management support for the cross functional projects within the company. This individual will engage stakeholders across the organization to ensure the timely and successful completion of various corporate initiatives. This individual will help maintain project schedules, resources allocations, and status metrics that provide visibility on the progress, quality and risks of the process.

    Individual must have the ability to adapt and quickly learn to execute according to the AspenTech PMO standards, processes and governance structure. Individual should have a clear understanding of how an organization operates, the willingness to adapt to changing priorities and the ability to inspire team members to complete their tasks as planned.

    Responsibilities

    • Organize project team(s) to accomplish key initiatives as established by AspenTech management
    • Provide clear/concise project objectives and specific measures of success
    • Schedule and host regular team meetings; leverage tools and team members to maintain a detailed summary of actions undertaken
    • Work with team members to assign “ownership” and responsibility for the completion of specific tasks (RACI)
    • Meet with sub-teams or individuals as necessary to obtain performance updates, identify emerging risk(s) and provide “estimates to complete” to the stakeholders
    • Escalate issues/risks to the project team and designated leadership without delay
    • Provide basic project management training to AspenTech employees via Webinars, Brainshark learning or class room instruction on an ad hoc basis

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree; degree in business or finance preferred
    • 3-5 Years of diverse work experience as a business analyst or project manager (Finance and/or IT within high-tech or the software industry preferred)
    • Proven experience using project management skills to lead cross functional projects, create project plans, recommend resources, monitor status, escalate potential issues and develop reports for related stakeholders
    • Experience documenting process workflows and maintaining detailed documentation
    • Effective communication with ability to establish strong cross functional relationships while gaining commitment and delivery to deadlines and milestones
    • Familiarity with any of the noted software packages (Oracle, Softrax, Workday, Sharepoint and/or the Microsoft product suite) is considered a plus
    • PMP certification or candidacy preferred
