    As the market leader in optimization software solutions for the process industries, we are seeking a high energy technical professional to work in the lead product marketing position for the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) area. This global position has primary “go-to-market” responsibility for market strategy, packaging, positioning, messaging, and the commercial success of our solutions in the Manufacturing Execution Systems market across the energy and chemicals vertical segments.

     

    The Sr. Product Marketing Manager collaborates closely with globally distributed cross-functional teams in Marketing, Sales, Product Management and other functions to drive awareness, pipeline and solution adoption of AspenTech’s MES solutions within the energy and chemicals segment. 

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for driving the development and execution of strategy and tactics in key market segments.
    • Ability to clearly demonstrate and articulate the value of AspenTech's manufacturing execution systems solutions to a wide variety of business stakeholders.
    • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
    • Identify Best Practices in the manufacturing execution systems area through research and case studies from customers
    • Develop and deliver sales enablement training and supporting materials (presentations and demonstrations) to Sales
    • Drive successful marketing campaigns with compelling content
    • Development of conference content and identification of customer papers for Aspen Global Conferences and customer-facing marketing events
    • Create content to drive solution awareness including product collateral, whitepapers, web, video and social content.
    • Work collaboratively with Industry Marketing to ensure solution area messaging is representative of relevant industry dynamics

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline required, MBA a plus.
    • 5 - 10 years' experience of demonstrated success in the Energy, Chemicals or related process industry segments.
    • Successful history in product marketing, including experience with worldwide marketing campaigns.
    • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems software solutions or Refinery or Chemical Plant Operations software solutions is desired.
    • Self-directed, highly motivated, detail-oriented, charismatic, personable.
    • Excellent presentation, communication and analytical skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
    • Ability and willingness to travel at least 15% (including internationally).
