AspenTech is seeking a Supply Chain Senior Principal Consultant within our Global Professional Services organization based as part of the AspenTech operation in Pune, India. Major responsibility is to provide consulting services within the Supply Chain division focusing on refinery / petrochemical planning to our customers for their adoption of AspenTech’s Petroleum Supply Chain planning tools

Responsibilities

Deliver consulting services including solutions design, implementation, technical delivery, training and advisory services to support AspenTech clients in their exploitation of AspenTech Petroleum SCM Suite of solutions for refinery or petrochemical planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering is necessary with at least 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in consulting for Refinery or Petrochemical Planning. Masters is an added advantage. Candidates who have played the role of planning model administrators or as internal consultants in refinery/Petrochemical plants are also suitable. Experience in a related service organization is an added advantage.
  • Be competent in designing and modeling of decision support systems – either in AspenTech Refinery Supply Chain Planning products (Aspen PIMS). Exposure to latest advancement in these tools and PIMS AO (Advanced Optimization) would be useful.
  • Experience in developing planning models for Petroleum refineries and Petrochemical plants. Knowledge on multi period and multi plant planning models.
  • Competent in the use of Linear Programming techniques and ability to troubleshoot model structural issues. Experience in refinery / petrochemical planning model audits or model improvement projects is preferable.
  • Knowledge in assay management tool of AspenTech or equivalent products will be an added advantage
  • Excellent written and oral communication skill in English.
  • Capable of multi-tasking efficiently and effectively, and willing to work long hours with domestic/international travel of up to 50%.
  • Fast learner with a desire/motivation to learn cutting-edge new technologies.
  • A team player with the ability to relate to customers and maintain good working relationship.
