Overview

The Finance Director for the North America/Latin America (NORAM) Revenue Determination Group (RDG) will manage all corporate revenue recognition processes including management of the North America/Latin America (NORAM) sales region. This position will work with the other cross functional members of Finance, the Sales Team, Legal and Sales Operations to assist with structuring customer agreements and management of the agreement approval process. They will ensure all revenue agreements comply with the applicable external revenue recognition guidance and internal company standards and policies. 

Responsibilities

  • Review complex, multi-element agreements to support compliance with applicable external authoritative literature and internal guidelines for the NORAM region.
  • Work with cross-functional groups on a pre-sales basis to ensure that agreements are structured in a way that ensures revenue will be recognized properly while following all commercial internal policies and procedures
  • Manage a team of two
  • Serve as regional lead with the implementation of ASC 606 for revenue group
  • Assist in the external audit for revenue related activities, this includes all internal and external work for Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Completing month-end and quarter end deliverables including all required analysis and audit related documentation on a timely basis
  • Manages the review process for all customer facing literature to ensure all documents are compliant with internal and external revenue related policies
  • Supports other regions as needed
  • Supports the implementation of ASC 606 
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business
  • 10+ years of finance experience including 'Big Four' Public Accountant experience and/or extensive applicable experience in private industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior experience with revenue recognition in a software license and services environment.
  • Superior analytical skills, with experience in the revenue management of a high tech software company
  • Experience with ASC 605 and ASC 606 ( SOP 97-2, SOP 81, SAB 104 and EITF 08-1 )
  • Strong organizational skills and experience related to cross-functional processes
  • Attention to detail and ability to present data in a comprehensive and articulate manner
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office with a heavy emphasis on Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong work ethic, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills required including the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner to all different levels throughout the organization.
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Oracle and Salesforce.com experience preferred
