We are looking to hire a Director, Area Sales with for our Team in South Asia. This is a key senior role responsible for the region’s sales strategies to drive overall business and enhanced strategic business development focus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the region's sales strategies that includes reviewing current and making recommendations to drive enhanced strategic business development focus for market and product extension in the country;
  • Responsible and accountable for sales targets;
  • Ensure Sales effectiveness in the region with professional alignment aimed at desirable outcome for the business. Improve effectiveness using training and other resources within the region and WW.
  • Assume day-to-day management of the Aspen Tech regional business operations/office. Directed towards cost-effectiveness with operations excellence through value-added processes and systems;
  • Develop and control budgets to achieve agreed business objectives;
  • Manage business risks through adequate financial and internal control systems;
  • Work closely with other functions / other AspenTech APAC teams, corporate teams, leveraging best practices and market knowledge;
  • Build a strong and cohesive in-region leadership team which is highly motivated, market and customer focused driving market leadership in the sub region.
  • Take on Directorship responsibility and fiduciary role for the business as granted by the Company as/if required;
  • Ensure the integration of the country's business operations office is aligned with the overall AspenTech’ S directives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred in Chemical, Industrial, Production, or Petroleum engineering etc.
  • Experience- Proven track record driving sales results. Software sales, Industry domain, have worked in Multinational Company in a multi-dimension relationship environments.
  • Leadership – demonstrates successful and effective team leadership credentials in past roles. capable of resolving conflicts to facilitate performance. Select, develop and retain a diverse team of high performing people.
  • Strategic Direction – possess strategic thinking with a clear view on future and an actionable plan for the region. Able to be strategic as well as tactical to ensure effective execution of strategies and goals.
  • Business Acumen – Understands our Industry and  Software domain. Be a decisive change agent with superior business judgment. Have a strategic perspective and understand issues outside own areas of responsibility to the team to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Decisiveness - Act with urgency. Make accurate, timely decisions, even in the face of conflict and adverse circumstances.
