This position entails being a member of a team tasked with accounting for the Company’s domestic and international operations according to US GAAP.  The GL team functions under a centralized global shared services concept. Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, accounting for prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, capitalized software, intangibles and goodwill, cash and compensation related accounts.   The position will act as an interface with other departments within the Company to understand and proactively review, analyze and reconcile various balance sheet and income statement accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key interface among the Company’s accounting and operational groups working on various balance sheet and income statement account analyses.
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations to the Oracle ERP system
  • Assist in preparation of schedules, fluctuation analysis and financial results narratives, and technical accounting memos for both internal management and external auditors.
  • Identify improvements and document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Provide support for financial statements and footnotes included in SEC filings 10-Q/10-K

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of GL accounting experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word required
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Background with a multi-national public company preferred
  • Experience with financial statements preferred
  • Oracle or related ERP experience preferred
