We are looking for an engineer to fill a position on our Asset Performance Management development team, building the next generation of predictive analytics solutions for IoT and asset optimization. As an engineer, you will work on our Asset Analytics tools, helping to raise the bar for the engineering culture. AspenTech has always pushed the limits of technology and engineering. We are now embarking on the next evolution, from process optimization to asset optimization, with global implications for the IoT. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain our Asset Analytics product
  • Work with other team members to develop designs, use cases, architecture and specification documents for our products
  • Work with Customer Support and Quality Engineering teams regarding customer and product issues as well as integration testing
  • Adhere to standard processes for new feature development, defect processing, source code control, and unit testing
  • Participate in the maintenance and enhancement of our existing code base
  • Keep current with new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and academia, and assist in determining the feasibility of implementing new technologies
  • Provide technical support to product management, product marketing, services, customer and business support on customer activities

Qualifications

  • Education:  B.S. in Chemical Engineering
  • Programming experience with C++ and C#/.NET
  • Knowledge of data science techniques would be a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • English fluency (written and verbal) required
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Work well in a team environment
