Overview

The Director of Global Sales Enablement manages functions essential to sales force productivity including technology and sales process optimization, sales program implementation, sales job design, and training.

Reporting to the SVP of Worldwide Sales Operations, the Director of Global Sales Enablement also works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales organization. This job will be located at AspenTech’s headquarters in Bedford, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and key stakeholders to effectively create and deliver onboarding and on-going training opportunities to the sales force, sales management, and sales support personnel.
  • Improve time to competency while reducing time to revenue through the execution of sales enablement program, specifically with our new hire on-boarding.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify knowledge gaps across the company, conduct ongoing needs assessments and roll out targeted programs
  • Works closely with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of the organization’s technology investments.
  • Champion transformation efforts through effective field communication and change management activities.
  • Convene and lead a “sales council of excellence” to help drive adoption of sales tools and broader changes to the sales function.
  • Prioritize and manage field communications to ensure a single corporate voice to field sales teams on sales enablement.
  • Leverage Product Management and Product Marketing to develop and launch sales enablement programs.
  • Ensure skills, knowledge and sales readiness of sales organization.
  • Create and manage sales enablement tools and enablement materials that support the sales force in their revenue generating efforts.
  • Potential to create and manage a global sales enablement team

Qualifications

 

Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills; ability to address cross-functional and cross-organizational issues independently; proven track record of high-impact success; high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial work ethic required to drive business outcomes. Ability to identify needs, design enablement solutions and deliver solutions to sales team with credibility and impact.

  • Bachelor’s degree in general business, management, sales or related field required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within Sales, Sales Operations, or Sales Training/Enablement with a proven track record in sales enablement function
  • Results oriented individual, self-starter and possesses the able to work independently
  • Uses technology with efficiency, including Salesforce.com CRM
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills, demonstrates sound judgment and excellent decision-making abilities, and shows a great attention to detail
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven in explaining and implementing sales methodologies in global settings
  • Does everything possible to achieve results, consistently meets or exceeds expectations, builds commitment in others for individual and team objectives, leads efforts to increase productivity and goal accomplishment
  • Strong relationship building, teamwork/collaboration with managers and subject matter experts
  • Travel requirement up to 25%
