    AspenTech is seeking a Principal Consultant to join our Global Professional Services organization as part of our rapidly expanding Supply Chain Practice. This role is centered upon Aspen SCM covering areas as diverse as:

    • Demand Management & Planning
    • Supply Planning & Plant Scheduling
    • Distribution Scheduling
    • Inventory Planning


    Based in our Bangkok office in Thailand, the successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for delivering real business value solutions to AspenTech clients across Asia Pacific as well as with further opportunity to work in other regions.


    Technical leadership on AspenTech Supply Chain Management implementation projects. This includes:

    • Gathering customer requirements and translating those into high-level solution designs for aspenONE supply chain products.
    • Building, updating, troubleshooting, running, and interpreting optimization planning, plant scheduling and distribution scheduling models for our process industry clients.
    • Defining and implementing data integration with external systems and people.
    • Formulating business processes to support the systems.
    • Working with clients to implement the systems.
    • Coordinate with the AspenTech Project Management Office and Client to ensure projects achieve, or exceed, stated milestones, delivery dates and goals.
    • Commissioning the completed systems which may require on site monitoring and analysis.
    • Participation in business development activities and commercial proposal development.


    • 8 - 10 years of experience implementing supply chain systems in the process industries. Experience should be in corporate or operational planning, scheduling and forecasting in the chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical sectors.
    • Ability to travel (typical 30%-50% travel on a calendar basis).
    • Process and economic understanding and experience in related field.
    • Extensive experience serving as a technical lead in systems implementations.
    • Strong technical programming background.
    • Experience with systems integration.
    • Proven track record in providing consulting services to operating companies.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent problem solving skills.
    • Fluent in English.
    • Experience with Aspen Technology SCM products (Aspen Plant Scheduler, Aspen Supply Planner, Aspen Collaborative Demand Manager) highly preferred.

    Educational Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or other applied math or science degree required. Master's degree preferred.
