Overview

The Director, Information Services (IS) Program Management Office will provide program management and services to ensure IS programs and projects meet AspenTech’s strategic goals and requirements.  This role will facilitate the delivery of the portfolio of IS projects on time, on budget and with high quality, and will align IS PMO standards and processes with enterprise wide PMO standards and processes. Projects include both application and infrastructure disciplines, with a particular focus on cross-functional applications and projects.

  

Develops and implements PMO processes and policies. Facilitate planning process, manage/coordinate the master program/project plans, run IS program review meetings and manage program/project status reporting including schedule, scope and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project management processes and methodologies in order to provide best practice governance and support for AspenTech IS projects.
  • Develop, implement and report on key performance indicators for the IS PMO.
  • Develop and maintain status dashboards for the IS project portfolio.
  • Monitor the schedule, budget/cost and risk of projects.
  • Deliver project status reports periodically to IS and senior management.
  • Coordinate and report on overall resource requirements and capacity planning for the IS current and forecasted project portfolio.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of Project Management tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Technology
  • MBA highly desirable
  • 10+ years of work experience in program management.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-focused, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledgeable in Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Methodologies.
  • Ability to summarize and present information technology plans and progress reports to executive leadership.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and resolve issues across multiple time zones and geographic locations.
  • Excellent consultative, negotiating, listening, communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel globally.
  • Collaborative and customer–focused team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
