    Aspen Technology, industry leader in Process Engineering software is looking for a dynamic and energetic individual as Director of ENG Business Operations reporting to the VP of ENG Product Management as an operations lead to the business.  The Director will lead the execution of ENG product growth strategies in close collaboration with regional sales teams and marketing to drive consistent pipeline development and revenue growth for AspenTech’s ENG business.

     

    Responsibilities

    The key aspects of the role include:

    • Leading the execution of AspenTech Engineering product growth strategy to ensure business growth on a quarterly and annual basis
    • Responsible for Engineering growth projection and monitoring. Collaborating with ApenTech strategy team, sales and marketing teams to ensure growth in line with the targets.
    • Responsible for the business analysis to track sources of growth, key accounts and product performance.
    • Proactively drive ENG growth initiatives in collaboration with other teams
    • Distil best practices for achieving growth and help replicate best practices on a worldwide basis.
    • Collaborating with the regional sales teams in key customer engagements
    • Close working relationship with marketing and regional teams to ensure that marketing campaigns and growth initiatives are fully aligned with Product Management focus on growth strategy and targeted applications resulting in revenue growth and adoption
    • Ensure teamwork on key accounts engagement and facilitate product management engagement to maximize product adoption and customer value
    • A passion for driving adoption and usage of software products and for enhancing work practices.
    • Provide input to product managers in identifying opportunities for product growth

    Key competencies required:

    • Collaborative skills in working with regional teams and marketing teams
    • Strong working knowledge of how the software business works and how it creates growth
    • Good understanding of the end user process engineering needs in design and operations, key business drivers and industry practices
    • Excellent communication skills to articulate the growth strategies and drive a coordinated action plan.
    • Strong leadership presence with the ability to prioritize and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization (without formal authority).
    • Demonstrated bias for action with strengths in problem solving an issue-resolution.
    • Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities and success, navigating through a matrix environment
    • Proven track record in leading successful projects, program or business initiatives
    • Strong background in AspenTech Engineering software (Aspen Plus or HYSYS)

    Qualifications

    Skills and experience:

    At least 15 years of techno economic role in the process industries with bend towards sales/marketing/operations

     

    Education:

    Minimum B.S. degree in chemical engineering, MBA, or other advanced management training, desired but not essential.
