The Principal Consultant Engineer will support the Lead to implement ENG projects and assist in onsite user training as necessary. The candidate should have a very strong career interest in ENG work. The candidate will also be cross trained in APC skills to execute APC projects as required.


  • To lead off-line and on-line simulation and optimization project services using AspenTech's software HYSYS, Aspen Plus, RefSYS, Aspen Utilities, etc.
  • To co-ordinate on projects between client and AspenTech technical experts using his/her knowledge, experience and communication skills leading to smooth and successful execution of the services projects.


  • 6 to 10+ years of ENG experience in either operations or process design
  • 8 to 12 years of refining/petrochemical industry experience
  • A strong background in Chemical Engineering principles coupled with expert simulation skills (eg dynamic simulation, HYSYS, Aspenplus and refining process simulation)
  • Fluent in English
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge of simulation tools such as HYSYS, RefSYS, Aspen Plus or any other flow sheeting tool
  • Occasional on-site work at 12-13 hours/day and 7 days a week
  • Occasional business travel for Engineering projects
  • Good team player. Strong ability to maintain good working relationship with customers
