Responsible for directing and driving the regional marketing strategy and execution for Asia Pacific (APAC). Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization – Sales Management, Sales Operations, Marketing Communications, Industry Marketing, Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing Programs and Marketing Operations – to align corporate and regional business objectives and strategy, and translate into an integrated regional marketing strategy and execution plan that drives company growth and pipeline.




  • Collaborate with the Product and Program teams to design and implement regional field plans that deliver tangible and measurable value and growth for the APAC business.
  • Actively guide regional program development, ensuring sales management is kept apprised of evolving marketing strategies and plans, and proactively driving alignment through regional and corporate organizations.
  • Act as liaison between corporate marketing and the field; be the face of marketing to the field sales teams, and conversely communicate needs of the field back to corporate marketing.
  • Lead successful execution of regional programs in accordance with agreed objectives, positioning and messaging.
  • Identify, plan, execute and track a variety of regional programs including AspenTech-hosted events, AspenTech-sponsored forums/tradeshows, user group meetings and regional seminars held in region.
  • Coordinate all aspects of each event or activity - from venue to agenda and driving participation and follow up.
  • Collaborate with the field and subject matter experts to pilot and deploy account based marketing techniques and plans; Apply learnings to build an ABM program for strategic accounts to drive growth.
  • Work with various associations and other member-based organizations to develop and implement joint/co-branded marketing programs/promotions to increase awareness and usage of AspenTech solutions.
  • Manage all lifecycle elements of regional programs (list builds, creation and concepts for program designs) and collaborate with Marketing Operations to ensure all operational elements of program are in place (content, messaging, technology, web, etc.)
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs in collaboration with Marketing Operations.
  • Establish and proactively manage regional budget, being vigilant in tracking; evaluate results against goals and generate learnings for improvement.
  • Working closely and in collaboration with Marketing Communications team, project manage initiatives at our Global Conference and Sales Meetings.
  • Interact with third party vendors as appropriate.
  • Work cross effectively with different business units (sales, industry marketing, product management, operations, finance, etc.) to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage and measure performance of staff.
  • Position requires 30% travel within region, with 2 trips per year to U.S.



  • 10 years of experience in high-tech marketing within APAC, particularly within China, including but not limited to marketing program management and execution through broad range of tactics such as events, webinars, web, SEO, social media, public relations, collateral and sales tools.
  • Proven success in partnering with Executives, Sales, Marketing, Product Management and other key stakeholders to set go-to-market strategy and deliver programs that build brand recognition, generate sales leads and improve company’s position within market.
  • Successfully communicate and deliver corporate and field initiatives across region - guiding localization and specialization efforts based on market data, field sales goals and unique regional challenges.
  • Deep knowledge of marketing management, campaigns and digital lead-generation, including familiarity with SalesForce and Eloqua or similar.
  • Ability to execute campaigns across a broad range of tactics including events, webinars and social media.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and working with teams located across multiple offices and time zones.
  • Experience using marketing data and analytics to inform strategy, plan and execution in region.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and manage several initiatives at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of technical markets including software marketing.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proven success in managing budgets.
  • Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
