Overview

The Vice President of Regional Sales (Chemicals) reports to the Senior Vice-President of Sales for North America (NORAM). The role is responsible for revenue generation from the Chemicals industry for the NORAM region. This includes sales planning, execution, and management of the sales force.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision for a staff of Sales Directors and Account Managers; including managing recruiting, coaching, mentoring and similar staffing issues.
  • Develop sales strategies, insure customer satisfaction, and achieve sales targets for sales of software licenses, services, training, and consulting.
  • Work as a member of the NORAM Leadership Team, sharing responsibility for overall business unit results.
  • Work cooperatively with Sales Operations, Product Management, Professional Services, Business Consulting, and other internal groups.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 20 years of experience in direct professional sales including C-level clients.
  • Minimum of 10 years of successful sales management including management of multiple Account Managers.
  • Minimum requirement of a B.S. Degree or equivalent, with preference given for technical degrees.
  • Demonstrated record of sales strategy development and successful implementation.
  • Knowledge of Chemicals industry, business operations, and Chemicals and/or Energy sector leaders.
  • Domestic travel (25 - 50%) required.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a high intensity, results-oriented environment.
  • Preference given for sales experience with technical or enterprise software in the process industries.
