Overview

The Field Marketing Manager for North America (NORAM) is responsible for planning and executing the company’s field marketing strategy for NORAM to generate and progress qualified leads supporting sales pipeline and revenue targets while building brand loyalty in the region. The position will manage the regional marketing activities from inception to completion including digital marketing, field seminars, webinars, tradeshows, executive forums, sponsorships, customer-relationship events, etc.  The role will be essential in guiding regional program development, ensuring sales management is kept apprised of evolving marketing strategies and plans, and proactively driving alignment between the field and marketing.  This role interacts with all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and managing all aspects of NORAM field marketing activities, ensuring all elements are in place (list builds, content, technology, web, metrics, etc.) and run smoothly
  • Working closely with Sales and Marketing Leadership, Campaign Owners/Managers, Product Marketing and Management, Business Consultants and other functional leaders to develop and execute regional marketing activities
  • Ensuring NORAM Sales is apprised of updated tools, materials, and marketing trends and strategies, while also representing NORAM Sales point of view in marketing planning
  • Partnering with Marketing Operations to ensure all tactical elements are in place (eDMs, messaging, forms, landing pages, surveys, etc.) and to report on the success of programs
  • Collaborating with PR and social team to support regional activities and drive visibility
  • Piloting and deploying account based marketing techniques and plans; applying learnings to build an ABM program for strategic NORAM accounts to drive growth
  • Working with cross-functional teams to make improvements and share/receive best practices with/from other regions and teams
  • Ensuring that branding and messaging in marketing materials is clear, consistent and optimized across region specificchannels to align with strategic objectives of AspenTech
  • Identify and engage potential marketing partners to include associations and other member-based organizations to develop and implement joint/co-branded marketing programs
  • Prepare and manage budgets and meet budget requirements through strategic recommendations, operational efficiencies and vendor contract negotiations, and by delivering projects within agreed timeline and budgets
  • Event Planning and Onsite Event Management of NORAM marketing events from inception to completion to include venue procurement averaging 5-10 contracts per year
  • Vendor management including RFP, site visit, contract negotiation, signature, purchase requests and purchase orders, payment, onsite management for related vendors (e.g. venues, AV, service providers, catering, promotions, printing, shipping, exhibit house etc.)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 7-10 years of experience in marketing
  • 3-5 years’ experience with event management
  • Proven success in partnering with field, product/industry marketing, programs, operations, business consultants and others to deliver programs that generate qualified leads and improve company industry position within market
  • Experience using SalesForce or similar tool to track opportunities and report ROI of marketing initiatives
  • Deep knowledge of program management, campaigns, digital lead-generation
  • Ability to execute campaigns across a broad range of tactics including events, webinars, digital and social media
  • Demonstrated success in project management across functional teams
  • Ability to effectively multitask and manage several initiatives at once
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of technical markets including software marketing
  • Detail oriented
  • Proven success in managing budgets
  • Position requires 25% travel
