If you want to play a key role in driving Employee Communications at one of the most successful software companies in Massachusetts, this position is for you.

We are looking for a sharp communications person who is motivated by the challenge of making internal communication an essential part of the fabric of AspenTech.

You are someone who would be comfortable helping to evangelize AspenTech’s story in a variety of settings.  You understand communications best practices, can write in a crisp and concise style, have a sharp editing eye, and are proficient using both traditional and new media communication channels in compelling ways.

You will be a key member of the Corporate Communications team.  You will interact closely with senior management, Human Resources, Marketing and a wide range of stakeholders across our global company.

The position is located in the company’s Bedford MA headquarters and reports directly to the Sr. Director, Communications.


  • Lead the development of employee communications plans and strategies, and ensure high-quality execution of deliverables.
  • Help to ensure that the entire company is “on message” with AspenTech corporate messaging and that every employee is well educated about who AspenTech is and what we stand for.
  • Create weekly content for the Inside Aspen web portal and all-employee e-mails, promoting product news, company events, press and analyst coverage, customer successes, employee accomplishments, executive communications and other news.
  • Monitor employee views and usage of internal communications content, circulating reports and analytics, and making adjustments as necessary to drive increased usage.
  • Provide support for other Corporate Communications activities as needed, for example corporate events, PR, social media, government relations, industry associations, etc.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications preferred.
  • 2-5 years of substantive Corporate Communications experience. 
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, well organized, results-driven.
  • Proven strength working with traditional communications tools as well as new media applications – PPT, Acrobat, Flash video, Brainshark, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different functional groups.
  • Experience reporting on effectiveness of communications using analytics.
