A Consultant Engineer is required to join the Engineering Services Group located at AspenTech's Warrington, UK office. The group offers project implementation services to the Refining, Petrochemical and Chemical industries. Services include development of simulation models (steady state or dynamic, offline or online real time) of industrial processes and/or utilities systems. The models are used for process/utilities improvement, monitoring, optimization and energy cost reduction.

The Consultant Engineer will

  • support the Lead Engineer to implement projects using AspenTech's software Aspen HYSYS, AspenPlus, RefSYS and Aspen Utilities.
  • participate in client meetings, prepare project documentations/reports and assist with user training as necessary.
  • confidently communicate with and present results to our clients



  • BSc Chemical Engineering
  • Verifiable ability to use and apply process simulation and design tools from AspenTech or other Software vendors
  • Knowledge of some major industrial processes, Refining/Chemical.
  • Good team player. Strong ability to maintain good working relationship with customers
  • Good communicator oral and written in English
  • A certain amount of travel (national and international) may be required (up to 25% of the time


Optional Qualifications

  • MIChemE (or membership of a professional institution) preferred
    Sc degree or PhD is a plus
  • Working knowledge of AspenTech simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen RefSYS, Aspen Plus, Aspen Utilities is a plus
  • Good working knowledge of any other major language (Spanish, Mandarin, Russian or any other European language) will be a plus.
