    AspenTech is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant within our Global Professional Services organization based in our UK, Warrington Office.  The position will provide expert level consulting to clients implementing our proprietary software packages - Aspen Petroleum scheduler, Aspen Multi Blend Optimizer (MBO) , Aspen PIMS and Aspen Petroleum Supply-Chain Planner (DPO). The individual will be a senior member of a team responsible for undertaking consulting services for AspenTech clients in refinery planning, scheduling and blending with opportunity to engage in projects across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver consulting services including; solutions architecture & design, implementation, training and advisory services in supporting clients’ exploitation of AspenTech Petroleum Planning, Scheduling & Blending (PS&B) solutions.
    • Solutions Architect for Petroleum supply-chain projects having credibility, gravitas and proven ability to gather, document and implement client requirements and address the business process issues that AspenTech solutions address.
    • Design and configure model-based decision support systems and data integration with external systems and databases.
    • Co-ordinate solution delivery in concert with AspenTech Project Management and the client to ensure projects achieve stated milestones, delivery dates and financial goals.
    • Maintain and extend client satisfaction levels and develop opportunities for additional Services.
    • Work co-operatively with the AspenTech extended team in Sales, Support, Product Management, R&D, and partners to ensure successful project delivery and completion.
    • Assist the sales organization and services management team in preparing and delivering complex bids and proposals to major corporate clients.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in an engineering discipline (prefer either engineering or business).
    • Proven Experience in a corporate or operations planning or operations scheduling in a petroleum refining and/or petrochemical business.
    • Experience of working for a software vendor or consultancy organization delivering Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution or Process Manufacturing solutions is highly desirable.
    • Beneficial to have experience of delivering AspenTech or equivalent solutions for refinery planning, scheduling and blending along with the ability to use Linear Programming optimization and simulation packages, VB.Net, and fluency in working with Microsoft Excel.
