  • Overview

    The Alliance Manager will have a proven track record of building and managing partnerships in a high growth organization. This individual must exhibit leadership qualities that inspire teaming within the partner ecosystem and gain trust to influence stakeholders that support AspenTech’s global partner strategy.

     

    The successful individual will design, implement and manage a strategy for identifying, recruiting and increasing an ecosystem of Implementation Service Partners (ISPs) and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) that support AspenTech’s go-to-market strategy. This is an individual contributor role located in AspenTech’s Singapore office. The position will report to the VP, Global Partners.  

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute joint go-to-market strategies with Implementation Services Partners, Value-Added Resellers and other Strategic Alliance Partners.
    • Create, implement and manage a partner onboarding and training program.
    • Manage key sales and technical relationships and drive measurable business outcomes for AspenTech and our partners.
    • Ensure internal organizational alignment. Identify critical functions, tasks and accountabilities required from AspenTech stakeholders to execute against a formalized alliances strategy.
    • Facilitate engagement between the partner, AspenTech’s Direct Sales team and Services organization to drive growth for AspenTech and the partner. This includes responsibility for identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues as well as escalating when appropriate.
    • Articulate strategic rationale and possess strong business acumen for new and existing alliances based on ecosystem analysis that support AspenTech’s long-term growth strategy.
    • Aggressively manage program revenue quota and maintain related onboarding and project timelines.
    • Maintain a cadence for quarterly business reviews with the partner, involving their senior leadership and AspenTech field management where needed.
    • Leverage industry experts and professional groups to implement program best practices.

    Qualifications

    • Understanding of the process industries (energy, chemicals) required.
    • 5-7 years plus experience in world class technology companies in the business of software, hardware and/or professional services.
    • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA a plus.
    • Strong presentation skills; excellent spoken and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. In addition, strong collaboration and influencing skills required.
    • Proven success building profitable technology ecosystems with a history of negotiating partnership pricing and contracts.
    • Executive presence.  At ease presenting in small or large group settings.
    • Very high energy level with a positive disposition. Comfort working in fast paced environment.
    • Extensive travel may be required. 
    • Language: Fluent in Mandarin Chinese to manage the customers in China.
