  • Overview

    Aspen Tech is currently seeking a Senior Account Manager with a proven track record of sales success.

    The individual we seek is a sales professional who is highly motivated, a self starter with excellent business acumen. A thorough understanding of executing a sales campaign to closure and managing strategic accounts is required.

    Responsibilities

    • Achieve quarterly and annual sales quota.
    • Achieve assigned objectives of sales pipeline development.
    • Manage day to day sales process, coordinate account meetings, and coordinate sales support resources.
    • Provide sales and executive management with account updates, sales forecasts, etc.
    • Coordinate and lead multidivisional account teams.
    • Work as a team member on sales efforts involving global account opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain customer contacts at assigned accounts.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated track record in successful direct sales of software solutions.
    • Extensive experience selling to customers in the Chemical/Energy/Petroleum/Engineering industry.
    • Significant experience leading multimillion dollar sales campaigns.
    • Proficient at establishing and cultivating "C" level consultative relationships.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Personal computer literacy.
    • University degree preferred
    • Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with indirect supervision.
    • Chemical Engineering or relevant technical degree
    • Specific industry knowledge and experience
    • Familiarity with Aspen or similar products
    • Travel is expected  50% of time
