  • Overview

    The Senior Copywriter is responsible for the creation and editing of online, print and digital content that engages and informs customers about the value of AspenTech solutions across multiple channels. The copywriter will establish clear and differentiated positioning as well as develop creative messaging. The person in this role should be a creative thinker and exceptional copywriter with ability to generate original ideas in collaboration with marketing managers, product managers and designers.

     

    Individual will need to be detail-oriented and collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment will be the key to success.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate effectively with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales teams to create high quality content, while maintaining a consistent voice and tone for the brand across multiple channels

      • Create compelling digital content, including web headlines and content, blog posts, social media posts, and eMail copy that is value-based and tells the customers story
      • Contribute to the creation of online and print marketing materials including white papers, case studies, infographics and videos that support marketing campaigns

     

    • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all written marketing content and incorporate revisions, adhering to production process, while meeting deadlines established

     

    • Interview customers and/or in-house domain experts and ghostwrite compelling business stories such as executive briefs, white papers and blogs

     

    • Maintain brand messaging and core written messaging documentation and content

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or English
    • 7+ years’ experience as copywriter for print and digital channels
    • Experience positioning, marketing and copywriting for B2B software solutions and/or process manufacturing industries preferred
    • Ability to translate technical or complex ideas into concise, business-oriented content
    • Effectively edit and rewrite content written by others to ensure compelling and concise messaging
    • Experience creating and editing copy for SEO optimization
    • Strong attention to detail with a command of spelling, grammar and punctuation as well as working knowledge of style guidelines (i.e. AP Style Guide)
    • Experience working with and implementing a new branded voice and tone
    • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and independently to deliver on requests
    • Ability to juggle multiple projects and proactively prioritize
    • Proactive team member, good listener with diplomatic skills, flexibility and poise under pressure
    • Strong and confident communicator
    • Proficient working efficiently with:
      • Desktop publishing applications
      • Content management systems
      • Web and social publishing tools
      • MS Office applications
    • Experience with language translation procedures helpful
