    AspenTech is seeking a Senior Principal Consultant Engineer(APC) within our Global Professional Services organization based as part of the AspenTech operation in Pune, India. Major responsibility is to provide consulting services focusing on refinery / petrochemical process control to our customers for their adoption of AspenTech’s Petroleum process control tools.

    Responsibilities

     

    1. Execute APC projects including assessment, kick-off, pre-test, step-test, design, modeling, configuration, installation and commissioning, post-audit.
    2. Implement AspenTech APC technologies as Lead Consultant/Engineer including DMCplus, DMC3 methodologies, Apollo, IQ, SmartStep, AspenWatch, IP.21, Cim-IO.
    3. Perform/Participate in APC studies and provide user training
    4. Lead cross function teams such as the Customer Support and R&D to resolve APC issues.
    5. Support Sales and Marketing to grow APC licenses and services business
    6. The candidate may be cross trained in ENG skills to execute ENG projects as necessary

    Qualifications

     

    1. Over 10 years of APC experience
    2. 8 to 12 years of refining/petrochemical industry experience
    3. An exposure in refinery/petrochemical operations is advantages
    4. Has a background in Chemical Engineering principles.
    5. Possesses process control knowledge and experience
    6. Experience in delivering APC project(s) as Project Lead is required.
    7. Fluent in English
    8. Good communication and writing skills
    9. Knowledge of APC, DCS and real-time database technologies
    10. Occasional on-site work at 12-13 hours/day and 7 days a week
    11. Frequent business travel (60% or more)
    12. Good team player. Strong ability to maintain good working relationship with customers
